Enrollment & Lottery Preferences and Procedure

To Apply:

Complete and submit an online application between April 25, 2024 and May 9, 2024 for the student seeking Morning Care and/or Aftercare for the 2024-25 school year. Morning Care and Aftercare will have separate lotteys. 

Please complete the application found here,  after 9:00 am on April 25, 2024, and submit it by Friday, May 9, 2024 at 3 pm, MST. 

Only the applications received between April 25th and May 9th will be entered in the lottery for both Morning Care and Aftercare openings and wait list placement. Each application will be time stamped.

In the event that we have more applications than openings, a lottery will be held to determine placement. We will fill any open spaces and then we will create a new waitlist, for 2024-25, based on the drawings from the lottery. You will be notified via email about lottery results by the end of the day Monday, May 13, 2024.

*Any applications submitted after Friday, May 9, 2024 at 3:00pm MST will be placed on the waitlist in the order received.

The following preferences are observed for the lottery:

1. Children of full-time AVP employees and board members.

2. Children of part-time staff**  

3. Students currently enrolled in Morning Care and Aftercare will have preference for re-entry the   following year– you must reapply, otherwise your spot will be given to the next child. 

4. Younger siblings of students in the program.

5. Younger siblings of students selected in the lottery.

*If past applications were received outside of the open enrollment window, they will not be given this preference. 

**Volunteer substitute hours do not count.
